Georgia: The Cultural Richness
A land of endless wonders, unspoiled by modern tourism and still retaining its authentic character. Once experienced, it will stay with you forever. Exploring Georgia is a constant pleasure. For walkers and hikers the country is sheer heaven, while botanists and bird-watchers will be simply enthralled and archaeologists can’t decide which of the numerous ancient findings to visit first.
If you haven’t visited a city where you can find Georgian Orthodox, Armenian Gregorian and Roman Catholic churches, a synagogue, a mosque and a Zoroastrian temple all within a 5 minute walk of each other then you must go to Georgia and visit its capital Tbilisi. You will also visit the province of Mtskheta where you can visit the "Historical Monuments of Mtskheta” a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as Gori, Uplistsikhe,Borjom, and Akhaltsikhe. The region is dotted with castles and fortresses from different periods but the jewel in the crown of this fascinating region is surely the cave town of Vardzia.
